I would like Everyone to understand how much I love this place, the owner and the nurse. My father had ALS and lived there for just under two years. The place took excellent care of my pops, an absolutely clean establishment, and kind and caring people. And I can’t say enough about the owner Darren. I honestly didn't see one flaw the whole time we were there and I came and went day and night. If you are looking for a safe place with competent staff for your loved one, this is it. 10 stars! After 4 years of working acute care for Kaiser Permanente, Darren started Canyon Creek Adult Family Home in 1999. With an abundance of experience and knowledge, he had a vision to provide a safe, comfortable environment for the medically fragile. When Darren recognized an overwhelming need for a more home-like environment for ventilator dependent clients previously confined to nursing homes and hospitals, he made the transition into a ventilator exclusive facility. Having a construction background, he remodeled the entire home to accommodate beautiful, private, large suites for each resident. Darren remains active in the daily operations of the facility providing top notch nursing alongside business ownership responsibilities.

Job Description:
Canyon Creek is a Ventilator Specialty Facility established in 1999. We provide care to 6 clients with a staffing ratio of 3:6 for 12 hour shifts. The owner is a registered nurse with 25 plus years of experience and is closely involved with the daily operation of the facility and is available as a resource nurse 24/7. Our client's have a wide array of medical needs. Some nursing experience is great but not required. This is a great setting for a new nurse or a nurse with limited experience who is motivated to hone clinical skills including ventilator and airway management, wound care, ostomy, suprapubic, PEG tube management and occasional IV medication administration.
Must have a valid RN or LPN license upon hire. CPR and food handlers card required.
